As with our other services, our LVP and vinyl floor cleaning is intensively thorough. You won't believe how much cleaner your vinyl floor will look than after simply mopping. Step 1 - Pre-Inspect: We'll assess your LVP or vinyl flooring for rips, bubbles, damage, and overall soil level. This helps us form our "plan of attack" going forward.

Step 2 - Sweep/Vacuum: Just like when cleaning carpet, if necessary, we'll sweep or vacuum to remove as much dry soil as possible before introducing cleaning products or steam.

Step 3 - Protect: We'll install corner guards where needed to protect your walls and furniture from our equipment and hoses. Depending on jobsite conditions and surrounding objects, we'll take the time to mask sensitive baseboards, appliances, or other objects which may be damaged by water or cleaning products.

Step 4 - Pre-Condition: We'll pre-treat the LVP/vinyl with a cleaning solution tailored to your floor's soiling content to dissolve cooking oils, dog oils, and general foot traffic soil.

Step 5 -Agitate: Depending on the texture and level of soiling of your LVP or vinyl, we'll use an appropriate agitation tool to scrub the pre-conditioner throughout the surface of the floor to help ensure penetration for maximum effectiveness.

Step 6 - Steam Clean: Similar to tile & grout cleaning, we'll use our high-pressured floor cleaning tool attached to our truck-mounted steam cleaning system to blast away the soil and our pre-conditioner.

Step 7 - Treat Stubborn Stains: If any stains or areas of discoloration remain, we'll attempt to remove them with the appropriate cleaning agent(s).

Step 8 - Post-Inspect: After the cleaning process is complete, we'll check one last time to make sure your floor is as clean as possible.

Step 9 - Speed Dry (if necessary): We can place high powered fan(s) over the floor to dry it super fast.

Vinyl & LVP Cleaning FAQ:

Is this safe for my floor?

Yes. Vinyl is very durable and resilient. We adjust water pressure and temperature, vacuum suction, and chemistry to ensure a proper combination for vinyl cleaning. We always perform a pre-inspection to check for damage or areas of concern.

How long does vinyl or LVP cleaning take?

Residential jobs usually take 1-3 hours, depending on square footage and soil level. Commercial jobs can take longer if we're dealing with thousands of square feet.

How long until I can walk on it?

You can walk on the floor with clean feet, immediately after cleaning. Obviously, you'll want to be careful not to slip if the floor is still wet.

Will my vinyl or LVP look brand new again?

If your floor is very dirty, our cleaning system usually delivers eye-popping results. Oftentimes you don't realize just how dirty your floor is until it's professionally cleaned. Vinyl and LVP flooring does a great job at making dirt blend in. If any company can restore your floor to like new condition, it's Grosbusters!

Do you offer gloss finishes?

No. We discourage the use of waxes or finishes on any vinyl or LVP. Doing so may actually void the manufacturer's warranty on your floor.
